Roof Slates from St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin

If you have ever travelled with NoteWorthy and visited Ireland with us then, most likely, we would have introduced you to our good friends at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and met the Verger for a very special tour with access to the roof to see one of Europe’s most precious churches!

The renovations are now in progress and we are delighted to provide access to the ultimate in cherished materials: the roofing slates, dating back from 1865.

The roof slates were cut from the finest slate mines in Wales for the Restoration of the Cathedral in 1865 and have sheltered the Cathedral from Irish storms and winds ever since.

Your purchase goes to help secure the future of one of Europe’s most cherished landmarks. They might make a perfect floor or counter-top, a treasured gift to celebrate the Irish heritage of a dear friend or relative or perhaps a touching reminder of your visit to the Cathedral during normal times. They will certainly bring an Irish smile to the faces of many, and maybe a beautiful song to the heart as well.

By purchasing one or many slates, your name will be displayed in the book of thanks at the Cathedral.

Dimensions: 60 x 30cm (approx) due to age, each slate is slightly different

Price, excluding VAT and postage and packaging: £400.00 per slate
