A travel world trailblazer, with an expert eye for curating unforgettable moments, an ever-expanding ‘little black book’ of industry insiders and countless stories to tell, Nicola Butler is the owner and Managing Director of NoteWorthy. From crafting tailor-made luxury experiences to philanthropic work, the personal touch marks everything she does.
Originally from Cambridgeshire, high-end live events are where it all began for Nicola, spanning A-list music concerts for Rod Stewart to the London 2012 Olympics. Unlocking exclusive access to iconic venues is her speciality, having worked with Royal Ascot, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and the Churchill War Rooms. As her career carried her across the UK, Ireland, Paris and beyond, her knowledge deepened, her network of industry insiders grew, and she took the helm of NoteWorthy in 2012.
Today, she brings together her friends, unparalleled contacts and the ‘who’s who’ of travel, designing highly personal and meticulously crafted journeys that open doors to moments few ever get to experience. Whether it’s pulling back the curtain on the Changing of the Guard, commissioning a royal musician for a private cello recital, or arriving by helicopter to tucked-away English country estates, every moment places her guests at the heart of Britain’s rarest and most richly storied experiences.
“Nicola’s clients are blown away by how personal NoteWorthy make their experiences and how tailored to their particular interests each are.” Victoria R. Boomgarden, President, Elán Travel
Nicola’s influence extends beyond individual client experiences with an unwavering commitment to UK tourism. She is known for spearheading a landmark campaign to bring together London’s pre-eminent five-star hotels and venues to welcome the world back to the UK following the global pandemic. By orchestrating exclusive access for 50 of the top US Travel Advisors, with private performances and a meeting with HRH the Duke of Edinburgh (then Duke of Wessex), the initiative proved instrumental in re-igniting the tourism industry.
Across her work, philanthropy runs deep. Through Nicola’s connections, NoteWorthy and its clientele continue to generate upwards of £750,000 a year for beneficiaries including The Iveagh Trust, the Household Division Charity, The Guards Museum, and the Dogs Trust, as well as mental health and conservation charities.
Today, Nicola’s award cabinet brims with industry-wide recognition. Her pioneering spirit and position as the ‘go to’ travel specialist have seen her awarded ‘A-Lister’ status by Travel + Leisure, as well as Condé Nast Traveler’s ‘Top Travel Specialist for Great Britain & Ireland’ since 2014. Beyond the travel industry, Nicola has earned a place on the prestigious LGBTQ+ Power Lists, and she is a strong advocate for young women in business.
In addition to leading NoteWorthy, Nicola is also an investor in Michelin-starred Starling Bistro, in Esher, Surrey.
