Meet the Specialists

Nicola Butler - Managing Director

Originally from Cambridgeshire and with 19 years of experience in managing high-end live events, Nicola is a true expert in her field and is ideally talented to develop and lead the range of extraordinary experiences delivered by the NoteWorthy Specialist team.

Since joining NoteWorthy, Nicola has been personally recognised as a Travel + Leisure 2016 A-List Travel Advisor, Condé Nast Traveler Top Travel Specialist for Great Britain & Ireland 2015 and 2016 and led the team to win Virtuoso’s Best Destination Specialist in 2014.

Nicola designs and develops bespoke NoteWorthy programmes that allow our clients to be part of exclusive experiences, giving them the opportunity to capture amazing photographs and engage with Great Britain, Ireland, Paris and Normandy in a totally unique way. Nicola introduces guests to her friends and contacts around the United Kingdom and Ireland – from hosting whiskey tastings in a private ‘shebeen’ through to flower arranging in a stately home. Some of Nicola’s most notable programmes have included escorting clients to dine with HRH Prince Charles, taking guests behind the scenes at St. Paul’s Cathedral, staying in private castles in Ireland and Scotland, flying 16 guests by helicopter to a private estate in Norfolk and escorting families behind the scenes during Changing of the Guard.

Before joining NoteWorthy, Nicola worked with the country’s finest venues and events providers, including the Athenaeum Hotel, Royal Ascot, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Churchill War Rooms, the London 2012 Olympics and has arranged iconic music concerts for A list artists such as Rod Stewart.

Nicola became the proud owner of NoteWorthy in 2014.

Susie Worthy
Founder

Sarah Bean
General Manager

Sally Strange
Client Services Director

Angela Tupper
Creative Director

Susie started the NoteWorthy business 30 years ago with the aim of delivering exquisite British experiences that can rarely be found in a guide book.

She developed many of the travel trends that exist today by pioneering the concept of private homes opening their locked doors to visiting guests from overseas.  Susie was one of the very first to take guests for a private tour of the Tower of London, Highclere Castle and The Royal Gardens At Highgrove.

A winner of numerous awards and accolades, Susie received the esteemed Top Travel Specialist Award by Conde Nast Traveler for an astounding eight years running and the A-List Award by Travel & Leisure five years consecutively.

Susie sadly passed away on the 14th March 2017.  We miss her dearly.   She will always be part of our NoteWorthy team.

Sarah joined NoteWorthy in June 2016 after more than 16 years organising and managing events throughout the world for a global management consulting firm.

Hailing from Hampshire, Sarah grew up amongst beautiful countryside and coastlines, not to mention all things Jane Austen.  Outside of office hours, Sarah enjoys exploring London's ever evolving landscape and her list of must-do/see's especially if related to the Arts and Culture scene or anything to do with Victorian social history.

Sarah has a huge interest for all the latest exhibitions but also loves nothing more than simply stomping London's streets, following her nose and then relaxing with a decent cup of tea!

Sally joined NoteWorthy as one of our exclusive Elite Guides after winning the prestigious ‘Blue Badge Guide of the Year’ 2011.

Sally believes that the true art of guiding lies in good story telling which she combines with her passion for art, history and all things associated with the Royal Family. Her enthusiasm and energy is infectious, making her the perfect guide for families and couples.

As Client Services Director, Sally brings her guiding experience to help develop new programmes that respond to our client’s needs and industry trends.

After growing up in the beautiful Cotswolds, Sally now lives in Surrey with her husband, three sons, two cats, a dog and five chickens.

Born and brought up in the iconic rural British county of West Sussex, Angela has an in-depth knowledge of traditional British countryside pursuits and experiences.

As a former sales and marketing director for some of the country’s best known hospitality companies, Angela has worked with many of London’s most famous buildings and the best of British brands, such as the Royal Opera House, Jamie Oliver, Europe’s longest Champagne bar and the Gherkin in the City.

When not in the office, Angela works through her list of the best places to eat and drink in London, plays lacrosse for one of London’s leading clubs and rides her horse in West Sussex. She even finds time to join her husband William and their black Labrador Spud, for a walk across the South Downs stopping at a great British pub for lunch.

Jo was born and grew up in Surrey in South East England. She worked in Luxury Travel PR including in house at Orient-Express before joining the NoteWorthy team!
